Soumyadeep Mukherjee | 
I have professional interest in the fields of water treatment, broad environmental issues, industrial safety and occupational health management systems.

I have always been involved in interdisciplinary field based research which have the capacity to be implemented in real life, beyond the laboratory. I am especially fascinated with the development of innovative green technologies and their capacity to impact lives of the people. From my exposure to the field based work in India, Malaysia and Bangladesh, I have gained experience and confidence and I seek to contribute to the environment through research in my field of specializations.

During 2011-2016, I have published a total of 14 ISI articles with a Google scholar h-index of 7. These were the result of my interaction with different research groups under various environmental technology development. I have long experience of research collaboration with multiple institutes including Queen's University-Belfast (UK), National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-India), Universidad Miguel Hernandez (Spain), Leiden University (The Netherlands), Heriot-Watt University (UK), Civil Engg Dept UM, Geology Dept UM and Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (Malaysia). Recently, I am working with BGEF Bangladesh which is one of the country's largest solar energy provider to install a community based green water treatment plant with minimal carbon footprint. These engagements have broadened my capacity to look for research connections outside my research area, especially with a social outreach.

B.Sc with Chemistry (H) from St Xavier's College, Kolkata in 2005.
M.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2007 from University of Kalyani in 2007.
M.Tech in "Safety & Occupational Health Engineering" from Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU), Shibpur in 2010.
Ph.D on Environmental Chemistry from Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in March 2014.
